Berry Yogurt Pops—A Natural and Berry Flavorful Treat

Keep Berry Yogurt Pops in the freezer for when your kids are clamoring for sweets and you want them to eat something healthy. They provide a satisfying, soothing treat for those days when everyone needs to "chill."

What you need:

Soup from a Pumpkin
  • Frozen or fresh strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • Vanilla yogurt
  • Craft sticks
  • Small paper cups

What you do:

  1. Put 1 1/2 cups of fresh or frozen berries and 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt into a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Spoon the mixture into 6 small paper cups.
  3. Put a craft stick in the middle of each cup.
  4. Freeze for at least 4 hours.

Variations

  • Try the recipe with peaches, pears, apples, or other fruit.
  • Combine fruits for a tutti-frutti special.
  • Explore different flavors of yogurt. Chocolate yogurt with raspberries is an especially good combo.
  • If your kids are learning to tell time or working on being more patient (who isn't?), use the 4-hour wait as an opportunity. Mark off each hour. Get them involved in activities that make the time fly.
